This chubby little guy lives in a drain tube in our backyard. He was feeling a little camera shy, bad wart day. :)

This reminds me of a song I learned in elementary school and sang until my older brother's ears bled, remember J? Froggie Went a Courtin'. Okay, one's a toad and the other's a frog, but you can see how I got there, right?

This is a mystery flower in my garden, probably 3 1/2 foot tall. My mom and I thought it was an herb because of its square stalk, but then it got these pretty hot pink flowers. The funny thing is that if it's not from my mom, which it doesn't seem to be, then I have no idea where it came from. Weird.

Boundary Waters...

This is from C & mine's trip to the Boundary Waters in 2006... I never posted any of our pics from this trip. We had a great time, other than putting in at Angleworm Lake, which involved a 2 mile portage in. UGH. You have not hiked until you've hiked with backpack AND a canoe. That is hard. We'd bump into people while we were doing 1 mile or less portages and they'd be complaining and we'd just look at each other and roll our eyes, wimps. haha!

C and I went to see The Incredible Hulk yesterday afternoon. It was gray and raining, perfect movie day. We both enjoyed it. I think Edward Norton is a great actor, and although this role wasn't one that really utilized his talents, he played it well.

Friday Archives (Loobylu's meme). This was done several years ago after I had a particularly nasty bike wreck on the way to work. I hit a small chunk of curb that was hidden in the shade when I tried to get back on the sidewalk (I'm a nervous road rider). I supermanned over the handlebars and landed flat on the sidewalk with my bike on my back. Some nice gentleman stopped to ask if I was okay and I was like yes, thank you and he drove off. I had a tough time getting out from under my bike because the handlebar was stuck in my backpack.

Thursday tumbles downhill to FRIDAY!

Hi peepholes... Well, my picture book is off to a crawling start. I've come up with lots of ideas for stories and text but have an illustration block. I'm worried that I'm not good enough to do this. **sigh** I feel capable until I sit down with my pencil and then all the doubts tumble in and dogpile me. Then I say uncle and decide perhaps it's time I vacuum the living room or unload the dishwasher or any other chore that doesn't require draaaawing. Blah.

Wedding Art

This is some artwork I've done for a recent wedding... I finished it earlier this week, but didn't want to risk the recipient seeing it!

I haven't been making much art lately... My style has evolved over the years, but lately I'm stuck... I want to change it up some, but am not quite sure what direction to take. I do know that I'd like my stuff to look more 3-d, and not stand so rigidly as they normally are.... Hmm... But I like kind of a cartoony/realistic combo... Just need to make more art and see where things go I guess....
