*Spring Cleaning*
Thursday, March 10, 2011
I've been galvanized lately! After our trip to Florida, I could think of nothing I wanted to do more than simplify, simplify, simplify. So I've been sorting (=giant garage sale pile), throwing out, organizing, cleaning. It feels SO GOOD! I want to keep this going.
I have some outdoor plans to put into place as well. Build a chicken coop and get some chicks for laying hens and thereby organic eggs. Set up a compost pile. Build a jungle gym for Peep, Hubs has a telephone pole that he'd like to build into it. Lots to do, lots to do before baby two arrives.

2 pairs of overalls (1 brand new Gymboree - came with one of the onesies, orig. $45)

1 pair of pants
4 sleepers (one 12mo, but it had hippos on it, too cute!)
3 onesies
1 funny elephant book
1 pair Gymboree shoes, look brand new
1 bohemian dress
1 maternity outfit (shirt and capris)
changing pad
$32!!!!!
A friend and I went to the Moms of Multiples Sale and a KidsCloset.biz sale yesterday. I wasn't overly impressed with the first sale. A lot of stuff was stained around the neck and some stuff was pretty pricey for being used. The second sale was half off because it was their last day and I got a lot of good deals.

These are my spoils from last weekend. Two dresses and a wee sweater for $7. I got a few kid's books too, 25 cents each. I heart bargains!!

Here are some deals I got a while back from thrift stores. I think I spent maybe $10? I love the little onesies (frogs, clouds, stripes) not to mention the crocodile sleeper!

I've heard that numbers of honeybees are dwindling. According to Yahoo! Buzz both CitizenSugar and the Huffington Post report that honeybees are disappearing at an alarming rate. Haagen-Dazs is trying to help, click here to see how.

Hola peeps!
If any of you out there are working on being more green, here's an article that might be helpful: Low-cost ways to conserve water at home. This is a good (albeit short one) as well: Greening your home in the right order.
We have leaky front and back doors that we are looking for ways to fix... Way drafty. Needs work!
In honor of my green Friday, I'm going to post some green eye candy for you!
