Happy Friday all!
Lately I've been anxious, grumpy and short tempered. I'm at a fork in the road where I have some big choices to make and I don't have the foggiest what to do. I worry that certain changes won't be positive or will even be setbacks. If it paid to worry, why, I'd be a MILLIONAIRE.
I've been reading featured artist profiles on Etsy and they all seem to say that they are always creating, drawing or making art. I'm on the other hand am always thinking. But the kind of thinking where you make plans and figure stuff out, more just thinking about the many ways I could fail and not achieve diddly. THAT'S productive, REALLY productive.
Fractious Friday

Hi again peepholes...
"The Ornithologist" print from Corid.
I think I've been posting a lot of pastel stuff lately... Maybe it's all the soft weather we've been having.... Or the gorgeous pink and white peonies that have bloomed in my backyard. Pics coming. :)
I'mma do the things that I wanna do
Excerpt from Weezer song "Pork and Beans".
I'mma do the things that I wanna do
I ain't got a thing to prove to you
I'll eat my candy with the pork and beans
Excuse my manners if I make a scene
I ain't gonna wear the clothes that you like
I'm fine and I'm dandy with the me inside
One look in the mirror and I'm tickled pink
I don't give a hoot about what you think
Niiiiice.... I heart Weezer.
And from Bitter Betty Blogs you can read about Standing, in case you have a body flaw to hide or a mood to get across, from The Nurse's Guide to Charm. It's a hoot. :)

This forward really reasonated with me today. I think I've been a big ol' stinky garbage truck lately:
Law of the Garbage TruckOne day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his breaks, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean he was really friendly.
So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!' This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'
He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.
The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so... 'Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't.' Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!
Thank you Chris! This story is from David J. Pollay, the author of The Law of the Garbage Truck™ - Beware of Garbage Trucks™, check out his blog!

Hi all, hope you had a lovely weekend. Our weekend was very zoomy and I'm zonkered today. It was lovely seeing everyone though. I didn't get to see my little bro's son, but I got to see my other nephew and niece and that was nice. I can't believe how big they are getting or how cute they are....
If you ask K where her belly button is she pulls up her shirt and then pulls on her belly so she can see it and then pokes her finger in her belly button. too cute! E is still a big tease, since I taught him toe jam he's always telling me that I have toe jam.
Here's a site with fun baby stuff if you're looking for a unique present: Jaminga.
You can get Bob Marley lullabies (I haven't heard this, has anyone?? I think it sounds fun.), Lullaby Renditions of AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Metallica. haha! Or lots of other cute things.

Here's a nice picture of the view snorkeling... some little tropical fishes, coral, fan coral...
Here's us and a really nice couple from Canada (one actually a native of Australia) on a sailboat snorkel trip out of Caye Caulker. Crosswinds is the name of the company we sailed with (Zeus, Chuckie and Alex). We snorkeled, ate lunch, drank rum punch and One Barrel Whiskey. It was a spectacular day.
Yum!
Honey, Cinnamon, and Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil Handmade Soap from Healthy Suds. I'll bet this smells lovely. **sniff**
Wassup?
Here's another pic from Belize... I wished it had turned out better! We went out snorkeling one evening and some guy said he'd seen 6 or 7 tarpon (big silver fish) swimming around out there. So we were floating there looking out to deeper water when 6 0r 7 tarpon swim under us coming from behind us. We were all surprised, but then I look up from watching them swim under us and all the sudden there are 50 plus right there. I tried to take a couple pics, but unfortunately they are kinda blurry. This guy was probably 5 - 6 foot long and came with in that same distance of me. :)
You can kinda see a bunch of them in this pic. I'm not sure why it's so blurry, but I think it was because of the low light. Let me know if these pics are too lame to even post. :D

Here are some pics from Belize!! It is such a neat place to visit. The people are super nice and it's a gorgeous place.
We stayed on Tobacco Caye for 4 days. It's a five acre island so there's no restaurant and you eat where you stay. This is the view off Reef's End's patio. Inside Ms. D served us some amazing food: barracuda, conch, shrimp and lots of other tasty things.
This is C and I on the patio. :D
This is part of a very sweet family we met. They were there from Dallas. We went on a boat to Bird Island and an offshore snorkeling trip with them. We almost saw a manatee. I saw the mud trail it left when it vamoosed, but no manatee.
This was the little cat that seemed to live on the balcony of our hotel. C called him Turtle Head for some reason so we'll call him Turtle for short. :) He was a sweetie.
I'll post more later. I need some zzz's.
Monday Monday...
Are you starting to wonder if we actually went to Belize at all?? ;) We did and I got the pics, but I've been lazy about putting them up. This continuing chilly weather makes me wanna hibernate. Tonight I'll upload some. Pinky swear.

I forgot to pick up our Belize pics yesterday. :( I'll get them tonight and hopefully upload some this weekend!
In the meantime, here's a little cutie. My only regret from our trip is that I didn't see a seahorse. That would have been too cool! This little seahorse necklace is from Birdz N Beez.
Happy Friday beans!
Friday Archives
Just followin' Loobylu's meme - Friday Archives. This is also a piece from my European vacation. This is me in Prague (Praha) drinking some tasty horka coko (hot chocolate).
The architecture in Prague was amazing. Bright colored pretty old buildings... Crazy steep subway stairways with psychedelic tiling on the walls. We did a shot of absinthe. I didn't see the green fairy, but I did roast my esophagus.

Belize it, or not...
So C and I just got back from Belize last night. What's that? Oh, you didn't realize I was even gone? That's cuz I post dated blogs for while I was gone! (I know, I'm a geek. heh heh.) Anyway, we were in Belize for a week and we had a blast. I'll post pics as soon as I get them developed. We snorkeled, snorkeled and snorkeled some more. Laid on the beach, took a sailboat snorkel trip, ate good food, met some fun people. **sigh** It was wonderful.

Wish You Were Here - Incubus
I dig my toes into the sand
The ocean looks like a thousand diamonds strewn across a blue blanket
I lean against the wind, pretend that I am weightless
And in this moment I am happy
Happy
I wish you were here
I wish you were here
I wish you were...here
I lay my head onto the sand
The sky resembles a back-lit canopy with holes punched in it
I'm counting UFO's, I signal them with my lighter
And in this moment i am happy
Happy
I wish you were here
I wish you were here
I wish you were...here
Wish you were here
The world's a rollercoaster
And I am not strapped in
Maybe I should hold with care
But my hands are busy in the air
I wish you were here
I wish you were...
I wish you were here
I wish you were here
I wish you were...here
Wish you were here
